CASE STUDY 1

Cork Airport

What were the client’s needs?
Aramark were in need of a company who could concept design, fabricate and install a barista bar and food service area in the Food Republic restaurant, Cork airport. Aramark had a small window of opportunity to complete the project so the timeline on the project was narrow and all works had to be carried out around the airports working schedule in order not to inconvenience any of the departing passengers

How did we fulfill their needs?

We worked closely with the client along with representatives from the DAA throughout the design, fabrication, and installation phases to handover of a fully  functioning barista bar and food service area in time for the first passengers on the morning of completion.

We listened to the client’s needs and preferences for the layout and décor of the barista unit and food service area. We designed the new barista bar and food service areas along with modifications to the existing seating area as well as provision of a waste disposal area for customers. Once we finalized a design that suited the needs of the client, their customers and the airport authority we began fabrication of the various units and scheduling of labour to cover out of hours install.

Property Maintenance Cork

We fabricated and built the units off site before breaking it down to pieces that could be transported through the screening process. We then began the task of assembling it again in the agreed location along with electrical and plumbing services required.

All works in the airport were out of hours so as to ensure no passengers were inconvenienced. Once the unit was assembled and commissioned for works we completed the handover in time for the first departing passengers at 4.30 am.

THE RESULTS

The client and the DAA were both delighted with the finished product.

The client was very happy with the service from start to finish. The project was completed on time and on budget with no interference to their customers or any other personnel within the airport.

CASE STUDY 2

Kerry Group

What were the client’s needs?
Kerry Group were in need of a company who could manage all reactive maintenance issues around the schedule of working factories in the Munster region. The goal of the client was to reduce or eliminate any down time to the plant or obstructions to staff while works were being carried out. This would increase site efficiency and boost cost savings of each site in the long term.

How did we fulfill their needs?

We have worked closely with the maintenance and development managers onsite to deliver a cost effective solution to all their requests in a timely fashion.  We have carried out our works around the facilities working schedules whenever possible and set up alternative arrangements for staff when required.

We have been working with Kerry group since 2015 and in that time we have covered all reactive and planned maintenance requests from the client in a cost effective and timely fashion. We have also managed several renovation projects from concept development through to completion and hand over.

STAFF LOCKER ROOM AND CLEANROOM UPGRADE

We managed a complete strip out and upgrade of staff changing rooms from floor to ceiling including electrical plumbing and HVAC upgrades. We also redesigned the flow into and out of the locker rooms through a newly renovated gowning/de-gowning area allowing to client to future proof the setup for any changes in the industry practices going forward.

FULL OFFICE REFURB

We striped out a 2500ft2 office setup back to the 4 walls, floor and roof. In its place we sub-divided the area into 3 individual offices, open plan space for 16 work stations and a tea station area.

MAIN CANTEEN REFURB

We stripped out a 1000ft2 canteen from floor to roof including internal walls. All services were replaced along with floor coverings and ceiling system. This then allowed us to fit a new open area kitchen for staff and gave a larger seating area with a brighter modern feel.A temporary canteen was set up onsite for the duration of works so staff impact was minimal. All works were completed on time and on budget.

LAB ACCESS REDESIGN

We had to create new doorways through a mass concrete wall in order to move in new equipment into the lab. The lab work station layout was altered to suit the new openings and modifications were carried out on the bench and storage setup. All works had to be completed while the labs remained operational and uncontaminated.

THE RESULTS

Since starting with Kerry we have helped them modernize the facilities we operate in to improve the daily operations and efficiencies. We have also worked with them to modernize the facilities for both office and plant staff through improvements of work and recreational environments.
